Dennis is outgoing, friendly, inquisitive, and if you ever need to know how to do something, ask Dennis. These traits were evident from the beginning, influenced perhaps by his uncle and Godparent, Ron Pelz, an excellent role model.

I remember our camping vacations. By the end of our camping stay Dennis knew a lot about most of the people in the camp ground and everyone knew Dennis. As soon as he helped pitch the tent and set up camp, Dennis was off making friends with the other campers. He always came back with a boy his age to play with or someone to fish with the next morning. Age didn't matter and frequently his new-found fishing buddies were men old enough to be his grandfather.

Dennis has always had a talent for fixing and building things. He is a perfectionist and when he sets his sights on a plan, he works hard until he is satisfied that his project meets his high standards of perfection, traits he inherited from his father. Even today when people have electrical, plumbing, automobile, lawn mower, or computer problems, who do they call first? Dennis, of course.

Thank goodness he out grew his early ambition to be a garbage man.

He played Little League baseball and he was a quarterback on both his grammar school and high school football teams although I think his favorite sport was playing Fort Apache . He also played "War" using a garbage can lid for his shield. Unfortunately during one game he was designated as "dead", fell on his garbage-can-lid-shield and ended up with his "war" scar: a silver cap to protect what was left of his front baby tooth.

Dennis is fortunate to have found a great girl to be his wife and the mother of their two wonderful sons, Bradley and Benjamin .
