Joseph and Catherine were the parents of Catherine Bentz Fisher, (Paternal great grandmother of Joseph N. Fisher) and the only records we have is that Catherine died on August 24, 1868.
Mathias Fisher worked for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad when he and Catherine Bentz were married in Newark, Ohio. The year was probably 1859 or 1860.

Catherine Bentz was born in Canal Winchester, Ohio and she was 15 years younger than Mathias.

He and Catherine had four children, one of whom was your great great grandfather Joseph Edward Fisher.
