Abel Gunn Historical Information from The Biographical Record of Henry County Illinois

In Knox county, Ohio, he was married, April 25, 1840, to Mrs. Cornelia (Benson) Gunn, who by her former marriage had two children: Abel died in Chicago, aged fifty-two years, and Lewis, who died when one year old, while on the way across the country with his parents coming west.

This appears to link Abel Gunn to Cornelia Benson Gunn as he would have been 4 years old in 1840.
